DESCRIPTION

Milk thistle, a common herb native to the Mediterranean, has been widely used for its nutritional support of liver function for over 2,000 years. Seeds of the dried milk thistle flower are rich in silymarin, a unique bioflavonoid complex responsible for the herb’s powerful protective and regenerative activities.

Silymarin has been shown to support and enhance normal, healthy liver function through three primary actions. By binding to the outer cell membrane, silymarin prevents harmful toxins from entering the cell. Silymarin further protects the liver from potentially damaging free radicals which form as a consequence of normal liver functioning. Finally, it stimulates protein synthesis in the liver, which results in an increase in the production of new liver cells to replace the damaged ones.

This Detox Formula provided by Functionalab, contains 250 mg of milk thistle extract, standardized to contain a minimum of 80% of the flavonoid silymarin.

SUGGESTED USE
1 capsule per day, with meals. For ages 12 and up. For best and long-lasting results, use Detox Formula for at least 3 months.
